went into town today to run errands :3 one of the things i did was post some envelopes!!!!! i wrote to some friends in far away cities who i don't get to see very often :( i've never actually posted an envelope before so it was a new experience writing out the address, putting on the stamps and such. i definitely want to send some more to other friends! i also found a cool bag at a thrift store for only $6 and i've transferred all my stuff into it, i customised it as soon as i got home B) the thrift store also had a movie i've been looking for 4EVA!!!!! it is Being Flynn (2012) and it has paul dano in it ahahahahaha. i spent most of the day tho at the local library doing uni work. at this very moment i am ripping some of my CDs so i have their audio files. i'd love to get an mp3 player tbh but i'll have to save up for her... sad!

went down a rabbit hole 2day learning about video rental stores and got very sad... as of the australian 2021 census data, only 160 people were employed in the video rental store industry, so there's likely even less stores than that in all of aus. there's none left in any of the capitals except for a single store in melbourne (called Picture Search, located in richmond!). i found out too tho that there is an International Independant Video Store Day on the 3rd saturday of october (19th of october this year) which is nice to know :'). i'm hoping that maybe i can start a DVD swap in my suburb bc we already have a bookswap set up which is nice to have! there's no public transport in my suburb, and no corner store or anything, so it's nice to be able to walk down the street and look at the books without having to drive my car somewhere. this afternoon i decided to visit the local library with mum to see what they had cause i've not checked it out for a while, and i found a bunch i wanted to watch! thank god for libraries....... if you are reading this and don't have a card for your local library, this is your reminder to GET ONE!!!!!! i borrowed Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (2023), 65 (2023), Crazy Rich Asians (2018) and Arrival (2016). there was a bunch more that i'd like to watch too. thinking maybe i want to get a portable DVD player, but i'd prolly want to find it secondhand for cheap. i borrowed one from a friend a couple years ago and watched a ton of Supernatural (2005-2020) on it HAHAHAHA cause i got seasons 5-8 on DVD for my 16th birthday. a couple days ago i made a catalogue of all the movies in my house cause there is a few i realised i still haven't watched but want to. we also own The Matrix (1999) which NEITHER of my two closest friends have watched, so maybe i'll host a watch party for it. i'd love to watch it again :3
